...and then there was Duck

...just a quick addendum to the shopping day. While in Beijing, there are two types of must have food preps: 1. hotpot (that was last night) and 2 Peeking duck.... Guess where we went tonight. We went to a local place, a bit upscale, but mostly local folk, we had Peeking duck for dinner. Jeff is a duck lover and loved it. I am a duck "like-er" from a distance, and still loved it. We were instructed by our server on the proper way in prep the food to eat.... the crispy skin is dipped into sugar, the meat is made into little pancake wraps and combined with a selection of garlic, onion, radish, and Hoisen sauce. We continue to be surprised by the checks and the taxi fares)... tonight cost us $17 a person (and the duck is carved tableside.) The average taxi about $2 US currency.....
