LIMA, Peru (AP) - Rail service to the famed Inca citadel Machu Picchu has been suspended as a safety precaution due to a national strike against the rising cost of living in Peru.PeruRail sales manager Erika Hurtado told The Associated Press Tuesday that the company has put trips to and from the jungle-shrouded ruins on hold because of a strike slated for tomorrow.Hurtado says she does not know how many passengers are affected, but roughly 1,500 people use the service each day.The official says that PeruRail _ the only company offering trains to Machu Picchu _ has worked with travel agencies to prepare for the strike.
