Oh what fun...
Typhoid today! Why does it conjure up visions of death and incurable disease. But everyone you talk to has the same visions of Typhoid Mary... as she single handed-ly wiped out the population of the northern hemisphere, or so our childhood memories seems to think. Reality, of course, has nothing to do with it... it is all about gruesome details we have invented as children. Well then why can we not get this vaccine at our doctor? Why must we go to the Dutchess County Health Department only on special bimonthly days to receive this elixir of life. Hey, ya got me, maybe it is more potent that all the rest.
