A Collection of pictures: In and around HoChiMinh City

Two views of ther Siagon River from the rooftop breakfast room of our hotel. On the left the river serves as a major port and mode of transport, and is constantly busy with ships, motorbike ferries, and small boats of all descriptions.
The tradition of dressing up your children in traditional or holiday clothing and taking their pictures with street decorations or even store window displays, was a common site. So we snapped these two tots, in tow.
Again a pair of pictures. Inside and out... the Majestic Hotel on the waterfront of the Saigon. A picture perfect experience in all the grandure of a restored 1925 Art Nouveau hotel.
From left to right: A funeral hearse on the famous Highway 1, built by the Americans as a transport route to the DMZ; A war memorial to all those who died, again on Hwy 1, and still a work in progress; The Saigon Opera House at night.
